MOVEMENT MEDICINE™ APPRENTICE TEACHER

Conscious dance (by my definition, means being guided by a trained teacher, moved by music, and informed by the body from a place deep inside) has been a passion since childhood. I have always loved the experience of dancing like no one is watching— and finally re-connected to that young and free part of my self through the practice of Movement Medicine.

After a long and successful career as a professional fashion and beauty photographer in Europe, Israel, Canada, and the USA and traveling throughout the world, I realized I had been seduced into the “church of the perfect body”-- admittedly – I did my part to perpetuate the body shame many of us experience— and— well— came away with an incredible portfolio full of magazine tear sheets with famous models and designer clothes— as well as an eating disorder.

in 2016 while on a business trip in Ireland, I walked into a Movement Medicine workshop that David Mooney was offering in Dublin, and after the first hour of experiencing his teaching, I knew I was home in my heart.

What has followed has been transformational for me, my health, relationships, and serenity. And, after training for 4+ years with Ya’Acov and Susannah Darling Khan, founders of the School of Movement Medicine in Devon England, I am now an Apprentice Teacher. I am excited to be able to bring this incredible practice to humans in this hemisphere!

These days, I practice radical acceptance. I regard the body as an instrument of divination. I am absolutely passionate about the healing power of creative movement, which I have found to calm the nervous system (especially in these times), soothe the soul and open our connection to the world of the imagination—the gateway to the Great Mystery.

Radically accepting our self opens a possibility of radically accepting others, our history, lineage, circumstances, world events and emotions. A portal to peace.

Between birth and death-- the traumas, grief, joys, and mysteries that accompany life on Planet Earth happen. And as simple as it sounds, after all the transformational work I have done in my life—I have found it’s best to keep it moving.

Humans have been dancing in tribes, communities and ceremonies from the dawn of civilization.  It’s our birthright and a healthy, natural impulse.

The eclectic music mixes for my events are created with an incredible array of international artists that inspire diversity of creative movement, a wide range of emotions, spark memory, and invite us  into the imaginal realms.  You are very welcome to join. My intention is to provide clear guidance and a creative, peaceful, safe and non-judgmental experience for those who are called to discover their own pathways to radical acceptance.
